  3. The Text to Speech folder contains information you need to use text-to-speech in your programs.

  5. The Speech Recognition folder contains information you need to use the new Speech Recognition Toolbox and API in your programs.

The PlainTalk for Power Macintosh folder contains GM versions of the complete PlainTalk 1.2.1 system that ships with the AV-configured Power Macs (6100, 7100, & 8100) for your reference and use.  If you have already installed the extensions from the other folders above, you won't need to install these items use the Text-to-Speech or Speech Recognition APIs from your programs.
